Consultant Organisational Psychologist
Jane Stuchberry is a Director of Board Partners, focusing on improving Board effectiveness. She designs and delivers projects relating to Board and Committee effectiveness, Board renewal, Director performance and assessment and governance. Jane has a proven track record in maximising the performance of Board, individual Directors and senior Management.
Prior to founding Board Partners, Jane led the Board Effectiveness practice at specialist board advisors Diligence Board Advisory and Guerdon Associates.
Previously, Jane was a Principal in the Human Capital Practice at Mercer, where she established and led the Performance and Talent Management business. Prior to joining Mercer, she started and led the People Strategy Practice within the Human Capital consulting divisions of two leading global firms – Ernst and Young and Andersen. In 2003, she started Ernst and Young’s Board Evaluation Practice.
Jane has extensive experience in undertaking external board and director evaluations for ASX-listed companies, public sector agencies, private companies and not-for-profit organisations.
Jane’s particular expertise is in advising Board Nominations Committees with matters such as Board succession planning and renewal, selection of Board Chair and Director appraisal and development. She has a track record of success in evaluating skill and experience requirements for senior executive and Board positions and in assessing the competencies, capability and fitness of senior-level candidates.
Until the end of 2017, Jane was the Chair of a not-for-profit board (Family Planning Victoria) and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She is also a Mentor with the not-for-profit organisation Kilfinan – a network of experienced Board Chairs who give their time voluntarily to support CEOs of not-for-profit agencies. She is a Director of Emerge Support – a family violence agency that provides housing and support services to women and children.
